UNIKOP Deepavali Celebration 2025: A Festival of Light, Culture & Unity

UNIKOP Cyberjaya was filled with colour, joy and festive spirit during the UNIKOP Deepavali Celebration 2025, held on 18 and 19 November 2025. The two-day celebration received very good participation and support from both students and staff, reflecting the strong sense of togetherness within the UNIKOP community.

The celebration featured 11 vibrant pop-up stalls, operated by 9 student entrepreneurs and 2 external vendors, offering a variety of festive food, drinks, desserts, flowers and more. Adding excitement to the event were six cultural competitions, including rangoli design, thoranam making, murukku eating, saree draping, henna art and dance, which showcased creativity, tradition and youthful enthusiasm.

Deepavali

The event culminated in a memorable Closing Ceremony. The CEO was warmly escorted to the student foyer accompanied by traditional Indian musical instruments, setting a grand and cultural tone. The ceremony opened with a captivating Veena and Urumi Melam performance by students and staff, followed by an inspiring address by the CEO, who shared meaningful messages with the UNIKOP community and conducted a lucky draw session. The celebration continued with a prize-giving ceremony for competition winners and concluded joyfully with a group dance performance and group photo session.

Overall, the UNIKOP Deepavali Celebration 2025 was a successful and meaningful event, strengthened by strong collaboration among student clubs and active participation from the campus community. The celebration not only honoured Deepavali traditions but also fostered cultural appreciation, festive unity and shared joy among all students and staff at UNIKOP.
